We are thrilled to share that Liverpool has become the latest business unit to achieve the ISO 45001 certification. ISO 45001 is an international standard for health and safety at work that has been developed by national and international standards committees and is totally independent of government. Implementing ISO 45001 considerably helps organisations demonstrate compliance with health and safety law, however, it goes beyond fundamental requirements and is designed for organisations that have an established health and safety regime and supporting management structure.
Paul Castle, Senior Auditor at The British Assessment Bureau spent eight days with the Quartzelec team at the Rugby, Swansea, and Liverpool, with two client site visits included. Paul praised the business for the cooperation received by all staff involved during the audit. The audit outcomes were positive, it was the first visit and audit for the Liverpool business unit which has now been successfully added to the latest company ISO 45001 certificate.
Minor non-conformities (NCs) and opportunities for improvement (OFIs) were verbally communicated, and the findings will be shared with the Unit SHEQ committees for review and closure upon receipt of the authorised audit report. Chris Fergus, Business Manager of Liverpool thanked the team for their proactive approach.
Ashley Knight, Group SHEQ Manager said “Well done to the teams involved for their dedication and efforts during the audits. The successful completion of the audits at Rugby, Swansea and Liverpool showcases the commitment of the team towards maintaining high standards of health and safety in the workplace.”
Quartzelec’s Hamilton branch ISO 45001 audit is scheduled for October/November this year.
