We are now looking to recruit an experienced Site Supervisor to be based on site with one of our major customers in Neath Port Talbot.
Key Responsibilities & Accountability
In summary your key areas of responsibility will be:-
- Carry out daily inspections of Large DC drive motors and associated equipment on site by use of visual indications and interpretation of test results
- Liaise with the customer on a daily basis, discussing any issues or concerns on the operation of the DC drives and/or associated equipment
- Organise and arrange all labour requirements for 4 weekly down days, annual outages and emergency breakdowns
- Compile reports on the conditions of the DC drive motors and offer recommendations on repairs and improvements
- Compile job specific method statements and risk assessments for daily, weekly and annual tasks as well as bespoke inspections and repairs
- Attend site specific safety briefings and outage meetings
- Ensure all personnel adhere to site specific safety rules including the wearing of PPE, carrying out tool box talks and submitting safety observations
Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes
- Qualification and experience as either a Electrical Fitter or Armature winder
- Demonstrable experience supervising a team of Engineers
- Mechanical aptitude is essential
- Full driving licence (due to location of customer site)
