LV Electrical Apprentice


We are offering an exciting opportunity for an LV Electrical Apprentice to join our Electrical Contracting division in Wrexham. This apprenticeship is designed to develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and experience needed to become a qualified electrician.

You will gain hands-on experience installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems across industrial, commercial and domestic environments, while working towards a recognised Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification.

This is a 4-year apprenticeship starting in September 2026, combining on-the-job learning with structured training delivered through block release at Beau Associates / JTL.

 

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Apply principles, practices and legislation when terminating and connecting conductors, cables and cords
  • Prepare and install wiring systems and electrotechnical equipment in a range of environments
  • Inspect, test, commission and certify electrical systems and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair faults across various electrical installations
  • Apply electrical theory to the design, installation and maintenance of systems
  • Organise and oversee tasks within the working environment as your competence develops
  • Follow all health, safety and compliance standards at all times
  • Attend block release training with Beau Associates / JTL to complete assessments
  • Work towards achieving the EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (Installation or Maintenance pathway)
  • Fully engage in training, mentoring and on-the-job learning opportunities

 

Your skills and experiences:

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent), including Grade 4 (or above) in English and Mathematics
  • Full UK Driving Licence or currently learning to drive

Experience & Attributes:

  • Strong interest in electrical systems, engineering or technical work
  • Willingness to commit to a 4-year apprenticeship starting September 2026
  • Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work safely and follow technical instructions
  • Positive attitude, reliability and eagerness to learn
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
