Reporting to the Business Manager we are now looking to recruit an experienced IC&E Experienced Generator Specialist to work at our site in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities & Accountability
- Identifying and cultivating new sales channels within targeted markets
- Collaborating with the Quartzelec International Sales team and offshore sales offices to enhance synergies
- Delivering technical and commercial support to internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively promoting and supporting the sales of Quartzteq products by routinely visiting key customers, facilitating the sales channels, and actively participating in industry exhibitions
- Performing inspections and disassembly of Generators / Rotating machines
- Understanding and interpreting mechanical and schematic drawings, (Advantage) to IC&E qualified Engineers who understand Major OEMs Operating and Control Systems
- Conducting advanced electrical testing to assess machine condition, (Advantage) to Engineers with Systems Control experience
- Accurately identifying damage and general wear / fault finding on Generators, AC/DC electric motors and other Rotating machinery, (Advantage) Route Cause Analysis experience, able to report methodically and accurately to Customers
- Creating comprehensive job reports and inspection check sheets
- Completing work to a high standard with a focus on first-time fixes
- Maintaining a methodical and accurate approach, documenting notes and reports during life cycle of given Project
- Submitting daily and weekly paperwork promptly and accurately
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Working independently and as part of a team
Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes
- Relevant working experience in the electrical rotating equipment sector
- Requirements for this position include holding a qualification (Degree) in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience in an Electro-Mechanical environment is essential
- Knowledge of medium and large electrical rotating machines (High Voltage) Generators, AC & DC motors
- HV Test bed and on site Electro-Mechanical diagnosis, troubleshooting experience is advantageous
- The ability to travel for short to medium durations for site work in both the Malaysia and Overseas is necessary
- Proper and safe use of industry equipment during repairs is expected
- Working to required OEM standards for Testing / Maintenance
- Assembling machines to QA standards in a timely manner exceeding Customers expectations
- A strong commitment to personal and site safety, both in-house and on customer sites, is essential
- Possession of a full driving licence
