The candidate will have a good understanding of power engineering, providing safety from the system, good knowledge of all types of HV switchgear, testing and commissioning, a background as a senior authorised person is essential. In addition, a good understanding of project management including costing, planning, delivery, profit and loss control will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage High Voltage projects end-to-end, including P&L, budgeting, and commercial oversight.
• Provide safety from the system and oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of HV switchgear, cables, and transformers.
• Lead testing and commissioning of HV installations and protection systems.
• Ensure compliance with HV/LV Safety Rules and all company policies.
• Drive efficiency, cost control, and profitability while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Act as a role model, leading and motivating teams to deliver high standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Essential: HV Senior Authorisation status (e.g., DNO or equivalent) and HV Private Networks experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an electrical contracting environment.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV electrical engineering, switchgear, and protection systems.
• Ability to work under pressure with a controlled, safety-first approach.
• HNC in Electrical Engineering (Power Distribution) preferred.
• City & Guilds in HV Operational Safety; IOSH/NEBOSH desirable.
