Field Service Engineer - Condition Monitoring


The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of providing site services and support to customers for Condition Monitoring solutions or electrical equipment installed in a power station environment.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to travel both within the UK and overseas.

The Field Service Condition Monitoring Engineer is responsible for performing services related to Condition Monitoring solutions including LIFEVIEW® Partial Discharge, installation, commissioning, testing and reporting. This role will also provide support to our customers and internal business units.

 

  • Provides site services for online/offline condition monitoring solutions (installation, commissioning and customer training)
  • Perform online/offline measurements at customers sites
  • Follows the company and customer safety procedures and trainings
  • Interpreting technical data, producing reports and providing solutions
  • Support the wider team with technical support and selection of condition monitoring equipment, site survey etc
  • Carries out testing of new products and components
  • Act as a contact person for customers as and when required by the business
  • Become and remain knowledgeable with the Condition Monitoring products and their applications

 

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

The successful applicant will possess: 

  • Desirable BSc in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field. Or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in working in a site environment and installing electrical equipment
  • Desirable Knowledge of Rotating machines high voltage systems and applications
  • Desirable Comfortable working in outdoor locations where high voltage is present
  • Customer-focused problem solving, clear thinking
  • Effective communication
  • Willingness to travel within UK and internationally
