Key Responsibilities:

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, responsibilities include:

• Understanding and applying principles, practices and legislation for the termination and connection of conductors, cables and cords.
• Preparing and installing wiring systems and electrotechnical equipment in buildings, structures and external environments.
• Applying electrical principles relevant to the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
• Organising and overseeing the work environment.
• Travelling to/from various sites and occasionally working away depending on project requirements.

Your skills and experiences:

Applicants must have achieved National 5 (or equivalent) qualifications including Mathematics, English and a Science subject.

Training will include day release study at the local college.
Qualifications achieved through the apprenticeship include:

• SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations
• BS 7671 Electrical Installations

Typical Duration: Approx. 48 months

Due to the location of study and site work, it is preferred that candidates hold a full driving licence, are working towards one, and have passed the SECCTT test.
